Apple Cinnamon Smoothie I LOVE cinnamon. And with the added benefit of chia seeds, this drink makes the perfect snack.

Apple Cinnamon Chia Smoothie

Ingredients: 

1/4 cup chia seeds
1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
1 cup water
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 organic granny smith apple – *puréed
Stevia to sweeten

Instructions: 

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large glass and give it a good stir. I peel the granny smith apple and then grate it on a microplane. I find this to be the easiest way to purée it. You can always sub with unsweetened applesauce.
  2. Let the chia seeds plump up for about five minutes before drinking. It will be a chewy consistency. If you want a smoother consistency, blend until smooth.
