Ginger is one of my new favourite ingredients to cook with. My love affair with ginger wasn’t always bliss, I actually never liked ginger until just a few months ago and now I just can’t get enough. I never liked the “clean” taste, but now I find it “oh so refreshing”. It is a great pick me up and adds some intense flavour to my morning smoothies. It also adds a little pow of flavour to pretty much any dish I make, especially salad dressings. Ginger is more than just a tasty root, it is a superfood. It has many amazing health benefits, which is just one more reason I love it. READ MORE
My housemate and I had a little Christmas movie marathon last Christmas, which inspired me to make these delicious recipes – Tomato Soup and Pumpkin cheddar Biscuits!
We watched Elf, The Holiday and Family Stone.
Awesomeness abounds! It was so fun! While we watched, I got my cook on and whipped up some incredible tomato soup! I have never made tomato soup from scratch before. When I was living at home, we always had the Campbell’s canned tomato soup…gross! This tasted just like it, but fresher and more delicious! The cheddar biscuits went along so well that it felt like eating total comfort food! READ MORE
Sometimes eating dairy leads to headaches, breakouts and gas. Boo on you, dairy.

It’s perfect for people who want to stay 100% Paleo or who might worry that some constituents like lactose or casein in the butter might cause health problems. READ MORE
For St. Patty’s Day I made this traditional Irish carrot soup.
I think sometimes I idealize life as an Irishman/woman. I had very romantic notions about this soup and its ability to transport me to jaw-dropping cliffs and sea swept country sides of rolling green. And while I can tell you from experience that that does not happen, it is still a darn tasty soup, especially suited for this little bit of cold weather we are enduring. READ MORE
Roasted carrots are super easy to make and taste so delicious. This recipe makes a great side-dish to just about anything. Carrots are loaded with beta-carotene, which is great for our eyes. Rosemary is a herb that has a wonderful scent. Be sure to take a nice big smell of the rosemary fragrance in this recipe. READ MORE
This easy chicken drumstick recipe you will absolutely love just because it is super easy to prepare and make! Be sure to use organic, free-range, pasture-raised, no caged, grass eating chicken drumsticks. The omega-3 content is much higher when compared to conventional commercial raised chickens.
Smoked paprika will give this recipe a delicious ‘smokey’ taste. This recipe is easy (did I say that yet?!) and boasting with flavor! Try it tonight. READ MORE
Kale chips are a great way to satisfy your snack tooth but also a great way to get a load of nutrients in at the same time. You will find that these get inhaled by everyone in your home. They may not even make it the full 8 hours in the dehydrator! It’s happened to me before. READ MORE
