sanna tea superfood juice bar At the corner of O’Connor and St. Clair located in the east end of Toronto, there is a tiny strip plaza containing several small businesses serving the local community. The word Sanna originates from the Latin word Sanus, which means health, sane and sound. Sanna is also the last name of the owner – Steve Sanna. Ironically, his last name symbolizes his passion in life, his business name and the name of some of his smoothies and juices: Sanna Banana, Sanna Flush.  READ MORE

Cafe Koi in Calgary, AB Cafe Koi lives up to its traditional Japanese name “love” from the passion of the owners, the preparation of the food and the customer base that frequent this alluring cafe. This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto and I am extremely excited that I have the opportunity to review it for you today. Before we get started, let’s brush up on what a superfood actually is, so we can understand the magic behind this incredible place.

Rawlicious! When I first heard of Rawlicious, like most people I thought about green salads, beautifully sliced veggies and maybe a fascinating hummus. I was curious about how one could create a whole menu plan around a ‘raw’ theme, AND go vegan to top it off. I secretly suspected that I’d graciously enjoy my meal there, and head home to a slice of my new favorite life changing loaf of bread with a dollop of coconut oil to satiate me. Stick with me to find out what really happened. Promise to give you the whole truth, and nothing but.  READ MORE

Aphrodite's Cafe Organic Delights When it comes to comfort food, it’s not always easy to eat the entire dish and still feel happy and healthy. A comfort food binge is often-times followed by painful gut-groans, distention, bloating and what is commonly referred to as the ‘meat-sweats’. This my friends, is not the case at Aphrodite’s Cafe. In fact, it is the complete opposite. At Aphrodite’s, you can eat the mouth-watering mac and cheese, the whole dish- and still feel capable of going about your day at the end of your meal. This is a place where delicious, mouth-watering pastry is no stranger, and food traditions are truly showcased. However, they’ve managed to incorporate traditions of food and decadence with what is really important today when it comes to the food industry: sustainable, local and seasonal. Keep reading to hear what I really think in this Aphrodite’s Cafe Restaurant Review!  READ MORE
