Tori's Bakeshop Nestled in the heart of Toronto’s East End Beaches community, Tori’s Bakeshop is a little slice of heaven. Amongst the scenic lakefront and historical buildings, this little café serves up organic, eco-friendly, and all-natural treats that are dairy-free, egg-free, casein-free and refined sugar-free! Tao Organics Cafe Restaurant Review

Cafe by TAO Logo TAO Organics Cafe! WOW Organics more like it. This place is such a pleasure from the moment you step foot into Tao’s wonderland. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect because I had a feeling it was going to be a small, quaint spot, and it’s slightly hidden in a courtyard of an old brick office-like building in North Vancouver. However, don’t be fooled by it’s somewhat outdated surroundings and hidden location; Tao does not disappoint!  READ MORE

kale eatery I love Kale Eatery! I was really looking forward to reviewing this restaurant. In the process of sitting down with one of the owners, I learned so much about them and got to try some of their incredible food. I was excited to hear that they were Toronto’s first all vegan, organic, macrobiotic eatery! Here’s the history: Kale Eatery is a family owned and operated restaurant which grew its roots under the name Sunny Cafe at Noah’s Natural Health Food store back in 1993. In 2009 they decided to expand and opened Kale Eatery on Yonge Street in midtown Toronto.  READ MORE

Jack Astor's Menu Review A fun place to take friends and family, Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill is one stimulating place to dine! Check out their lunch menu and dinner menu options. Jack Astor’s strives to cater to those that want to eat healthy, save some cash and enjoy the fun environment that the restaurant has to offer. Personally, I find that the menu lacks a lot of healthy choices. However, when eating out with friends you may find yourself being steered towards this restaurant. If you do end up there I want to help provide you with some guidance as to what menu options would be the healthiest.  READ MORE

Milestones Bar & Grill Menu Review

milestones For a mainstream chain restaurant, I found Milestones Bar & Grill to be above par in terms of nutritional needs. The menu is so diverse that its an ideal place to dine when you are with people who have varying taste buds. What is more, the cooks are happy to cater to all common allergies and intolerance, nutritional restrictions, and personal preferences. The website provides a thorough database of the nutritional information (calories, protein, fat, sugar, etc) and an allergy guide that shows what common allergens (wheat, gluten, soy, nuts, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, and sulphites) are found in specific dishes.  READ MORE
