A good friend of mine, Jesse Lane, just came out with a new exciting e-book. It’s called Holistic in the City – 21 Day Smoothie Guide. I had her over to do a little dancing and smoothie making in my kitchen. I’m excited about this new book because it has so many delicious smoothie recipes.
If you have ever felt like you needed some new smoothie ideas to spruce things up a bit or wanted to get into smoothies and didn’t know where to begin, this book is for you. Not only are all the smoothies created by holistic nutritionists (including Jesse herself and 6 other fab nutritionists), all the recipes are well balanced and super duper delicious.
When Jesse came by we blended up the delicious Liver Detox Smoothie. I was excited to try this recipe because I have put beets in my juice before but never in a smoothie. - 1 small to medium beet peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley
- 1 apple
- 1 lemon peeled
- 1/2” piece of ginger
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 1/2 cups water
- Blend in high-speed blender and enjoy!
