Edamame that is dressed to impress Have you ever felt ‘hangry’? This is what happens when I’m so hungry I start to get irritable and angry 🙂 Often times this happens when I get home from a busy day and am ready to sit down for dinner – the only problem is dinner still has to be made! This is often the time people (including myself) love to start grabbing at snack foods. Usually my go-to snack is hummus with veggies or crackers. When ‘hangry’ is out of control it’s not unusual for me to eat 1/2 a tub of hummus before I get dinner on the table. Yikes! As a result the beautiful dinner I just made only get’s half eaten. Give me a ‘here-here’ if you know what I’m talkin’ about!

I was looking for other great snack ideas that take a bit of effort to eat. My hope was this would satisfy my hunger without ruining my dinner. Nuts in their shell are a great option because you actually have to crack open the shell to eat them. This takes considerably longer than tossing back a whole handful of nuts. Excellent!

My other favourite option is edamame! You might be sitting there thinking eda-what?? Or maybe this little green bean is already a good friend of yours. Either way – this recipe will blow your mind!

Not only is it a handy snack food, it’s healthy too! Edamame is an immature soybean that is loaded with protein and fiber, which is great for keeping hunger pains at bay.

Usually I’m all about undressing the food we eat. However, in this case the edamame is dressed to impress, ready to jump into your recipe repertoire, and helping to put Mr. Hargry to rest.
