I LOVE cinnamon. And with the added benefit of chia seeds, this drink makes the perfect snack.
Apple Cinnamon Chia Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
1 cup water
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 organic granny smith apple – *puréed
Stevia to sweeten

Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients together in a large glass and give it a good stir. I peel the granny smith apple and then grate it on a microplane. I find this to be the easiest way to purée it. You can always sub with unsweetened applesauce.
- Let the chia seeds plump up for about five minutes before drinking. It will be a chewy consistency. If you want a smoother consistency, blend until smooth.
