For all you soy sauce lovers out there, here is a product comparison to help with your shopping. It’s no secret that soy sauce is high in sodium. Although we do need sodium in our diet, going shaker happy with the soy sauce is one sure way to quickly maximize your suggested daily intake. Let’s look at a substitute product that tastes great and will allow you to sauce up your meal.
Which one looks better naked?

Sometimes even naked products can be deceiving. The President’s Choice brand appears to have lower sodium when in reality diluting the product with water creates this illusion. Looking at the ingredients you can see that buying the BRAGG brand contains no added salt, sugar, or preservatives. This means that the sodium found in the product is naturally occurring.
TIP: If you want to add more sauce while still minimizing the sodium, BRAGG recommends diluting the product with water in a spray bottle.
I always keep a bottle of this wonder sauce in my refrigerator. I find that it is a great seasoning for stir-fries, chicken, tofu, and vegetable sides, especially if you are like me and love your sauces. Feel free to experiment and if you come up with any great uses other than what is mentioned here, be sure to comment below and let us know.
In our household, one of our favourite uses for BRAGG is with spinach. It makes for a delicious side dish or snack. Below I have put together a video tutorial to show you how it’s done. Bon Appetit!
Looking to buy BRAGG? I buy it at my local health food store. Note that the BRAGG soy sauce substitute product is called “Liquid Aminos” or “Liquid Soy Seasoning”, depending on where it is bought. Also, BRAGG offers free product samples to U.S. residents on their website.
Happy Seasoning!!!

Hi Heidi. Thanks for the comment!! That is unfortunate to hear that your Lawblaws doesn’t carry Bragg. Did you try the organic section of the store? Sometimes they hide it in there. Also, most health food stores should carry it. If you still have trouble finding it let me know and I’ll make some calls for you to source it out in your area. Good luck!
My Loblaws doesn’t carry it. Can you let me know who does carry BRAGG.
Thanks!
Spinach is also good with Bragg & toasted …sesame seeds ..Japanese recipes I think…..we practically drink the stuff! Great in humus ….we use it in our salad dressing with olive oil balsamic vineagar and BRAGG! The best!
Wow! I’m so excited to see recipes on this site. I tried the spinach with the Bragg sauce and it is delicious. Thanks
Thanks for the wonderful spinach recipe Briana. I like your style!!!! Fantastic. Keeps those recipes coming.
Hey NakedLabel.
Great post. I would only add that I recently bought Braggs at my regular grocery store, so you don’t have to go out of the way to buy the product, just make the right choice in the sauce aisle!
Yours in health,
